Hello everyone, I'm from Germany and studied classical guitar in the early 90s. I had to stop playing classical guitar due to injuries caused by poor technique. Luckily, I could still play electric and acoustic guitar, so I continued working at music schools. But after 15 years, I missed classical guitar so much that I had to start again. I decided to start from scratch and began working on my technique, which was a tough ride. The internet helped me a lot, but in the end, the effort was worth it. While searching for information, I also found Merce's channel. I was able to get many helpful tips. She's always on point, and I love her gorgeous playing. I really hope she finds the time to publish more music vids or only the music( it’s not so much work). That's why I decided to join your community. Seems to be a nice place with nice people.

I’am looking forward to get involved in some groups. I recently set up a youtube channel to give my practice a goal and to share my music. It's not very professional, but it is what it is, and maybe will improve over time. I definitely have an idea of how much work goes into Merce's videos. The hardest part for me is staying focused on the music, much easier to go into studio, play your stuff and the rest will be made for you. So for now, I'm only posting small pieces. All the best to Merce and Ragnar in their new home🍀, and by the way, my dog Kessy spontaneously decided to send back a wagtail.

Welcome, and thank you so much for sharing your story, it really means a lot. Returning to classical guitar after injuries and rebuilding your technique from scratch takes courage, patience, and real love for the music. You can absolutely hear that depth in your playing.

The sound quality, musicality, and calm focus in those videos are beautiful, and Kessy clearly brings some excellent inspiration too 🐾😊

I’m very glad that some of my videos could be helpful along the way, and I truly appreciate your kind words (and your understanding of how much work goes into recording, that made me smile). Staying focused on the music while recording is indeed one of the hardest parts, so what you’re doing now, sharing small pieces with intention, is exactly the right approach.

This community is lucky to have you here. I’m really looking forward to seeing you in the groups and following your journey. And please give Kessy a big hug from Ragnar and me, that wagtail was received loud and clear 🍀✨

All the best,

Merce 💛🎸
