Thank You for an Incredible 2025 at MFA

As the year comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to pause, reflect, and simply say thank you.

Thank you for being part of the MFA Online Guitar Academy — whether as a student, a community member, a YouTube subscriber, or someone who supports and follows the journey through social media. This year has been full of growth, learning, and meaningful changes, and none of it would have been possible without you.

2025 at a Glance

This year was about building strong foundations.

Not only musically, but also structurally — creating systems, tools, and spaces that truly support learning and make the Academy a place you can return to again and again.

Here’s a look at what we built together in 2025.

A Clear Starting Point: The MFA Roadmap

One of the most important projects this year was the creation of the MFA Roadmap.

The Roadmap is a structured three-month plan designed especially for new guitar players. It brings together carefully selected content, daily drills, and essential concepts to help build a solid technical and musical foundation from the very beginning — without feeling overwhelmed.

The goal was clarity, consistency, and confidence: knowing what to practice, how to practice, and why it matters.

The MFA Library: Everything in One Place

We also built what has become the heart of the Academy: the MFA Library.

This is our complete back-end content library, bringing together:

• Public YouTube tutorials

• Private live streams

• Exclusive Academy workshops

• Workout routines and guided practice material

All of this content is now carefully organized by level, technique, and concept, so you can easily find what you need at any moment. The Library is designed as a long-term resource — a place where everything we create lives together, clearly structured and easy to revisit.

A Redesigned Student Experience: The Lesson Hub

This year, we completely redesigned the student area and created the Lesson Hub.

Students now have:

• Access to all lesson replays

• A full history of assignments and drills

• Personal notes and annotations for each session

• A space to reflect and mark the most important moments of every lesson

Lessons are no longer just single moments in time. They become part of a personal learning archive that you can return to whenever you need — even long after your active studies.

Personalized Dashboards & Guided Walkthroughs

The Academy dashboards are now personalized depending on your membership and how you use the platform. This allows each member to experience MFA in a way that truly fits their needs.

To support this, we also created new account walkthroughs for both community members and students, so no one feels lost and everyone can fully enjoy everything the Academy offers.

Community, Connection & Feedback

Our community space was also updated this year, moving from a traditional forum to more flexible group-based spaces, making interaction, sharing, and connection easier and more natural.

We also introduced the option to request personalized video feedback — a focused, one-time 20-minute video addressing a specific piece or challenge. These videos are saved in the Lesson Hub forever, so they can be revisited whenever needed.

Music, Learning & Creative Highlights of the Year

Beyond the Academy itself, 2025 was also a year of sharing music, ideas, and personal milestones.

One very special moment was the release of Allegro, the single from the Second Violin Sonata by Johann Sebastian Bach. This project was close to my heart, and it felt meaningful to share this music as a standalone release — a moment to pause, listen, and reconnect with why we all make music.

Alongside this release, I continued expanding the educational content on YouTube with new resources such as:

• A Beginner Guitar Workout routine

• A dedicated harmonics tutorial

• A video explaining score additions and how to read them clearly

These videos reflect the same philosophy that guides the Academy: clarity, intention, and strong fundamentals.

This year also included two very personal videos about the guitars that were made for me — one sharing my story and relationship with the instrument, and another comparing them in detail. They were moments of reflection, craftsmanship, and gratitude for the tools that shape our sound.

There were also small glimpses into life changes, including videos around the new home here in Belgium. These moments weren’t about perfection or production, but about sharing the human side of the journey behind the music.

Looking Ahead to 2026

All of these changes were made with one intention: to create a strong, supportive, long-term learning environment.

2025 laid the foundations.

2026 will build on them — with more depth, more connection, and even more music.

Thank you for your trust, your time, and your support. I’m deeply grateful to be on this journey with you.

💛 Merce

Dear Merce,

Thanks you to recap for us what the Academy brings us in 2025. From the other side of the screen I am sure everyone had appreciate the incredible work you are doing. As I started in the Academy (2 years already !!!) I had some thoughts about the academy, the site and how to improve it. (Maybe that 30 years in the IT world created an automatic way of thinking as I look to a new site). Anyway, you have realised a lot of improvement on the site and beyond any suggestion I may have done. Its really fun to use the site and practical, this help our work a lot.

I wish you all the best for…
