Classical guitarist, educator and founder of the MF Online Guitar Academy.

Born in Barcelona, Merce Font is a classical guitarist known for her expressive playing and deep musical understanding. She began her training at the Escola de Música Sant Gervasi, completing ten years of coursework in only four. She later studied with Alen Garagic and Maestro Carlo Marchione in Maastricht before earning her master’s degree with Goran Krivokapić at the LUCA School of Arts in Belgium. She has also worked with internationally renowned performers through masterclasses with Ricardo Gallén, Marco Socías, Margarita Escarpa and Zoran Dukic.

Merce has performed across Europe as both a soloist and chamber musician. In 2020, composer Andrew Shiels dedicated his suite Quarantine to her, reflecting the musical sensitivity and artistry at the heart of her work.

Alongside her performing career, Merce created the MF Online Guitar Academy as a modern learning environment for classical guitarists around the world. Her approach brings together one-to-one mentorship, live coaching, structured practice routines and carefully curated programs. Through this combination, students receive clear guidance while developing the independence, musical awareness and consistency necessary for lasting progress.

Merce also shares her teaching and artistic work through her YouTube channel, where she publishes in-depth tutorials, technical workouts, livestreams and music videos. Her vlog series offers a more personal perspective on the preparation and creative process behind her projects. Across her teaching, performing and online work, she aims to help classical guitarists study with greater clarity, purpose and connection.
