2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files or similar storage technologies placed on a computer, telephone, tablet or other device when a person visits a website.
Cookies can allow a website to function, keep an account secure, remember a visitor’s choices, measure website use or help measure advertising. Some cookies remain only for the browser session, while others remain until their stated expiry date or until the user deletes them.
Cookies may be:
• First-party cookies, placed directly through www.mercefont.com or its website platform.
• Third-party cookies, placed or accessed by another provider, such as Google or Meta.
Similar technologies, including pixels, tags, local storage and server-side measurement tools, may perform comparable functions. References to “cookies” in this Policy include these technologies where appropriate.
3. WHAT INFORMATION MAY BE COLLECTED?
Depending on the cookie or technology and the choices made by the visitor, the following information may be collected:
• IP address and approximate location derived from it.
• Cookie, browser, device or advertising identifiers.
• Browser type, device type, operating system and language.
• Pages viewed, buttons or links selected and time spent on the website.
• Referring website, campaign and advertisement information.
• Login, session, security and consent-preference information.
• Purchase, registration or other website events where advertising measurement has been accepted.
We do not use cookies to store full payment-card details.
4. WHICH TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for security, fraud prevention, member login, navigation, purchases, bookings, consent management and other core website functions. They are activated without consent because the website or a service specifically requested by the visitor cannot operate correctly without them.
Preference and functional cookies
These cookies remember choices or enable optional features. Some preference cookies may be necessary when a visitor actively requests a setting. Other functional cookies are used only after consent where required.
Analytics cookies
Subject to consent, Wix Analytics and Google Analytics help us understand how visitors use the website, identify technical or usability issues and improve website performance and content.
Marketing cookies and pixels
Subject to consent, Meta Pixel and related Meta measurement services help us measure advertising campaigns, understand actions taken after an advertisement and improve the relevance and performance of campaigns.

6. LEGAL BASIS AND CONSENT
Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required to provide the website, maintain security or deliver a service expressly requested by the visitor.
Analytics, marketing and other non-essential cookies are used only on the basis of consent.
On the first visit, the cookie banner allows visitors to:
• Accept all optional cookies.
• Reject all optional cookies.
• Manage preferences by category or service.
Optional categories must not be preselected. Continuing to browse, remaining inactive or closing the banner is not treated as consent.
Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent the use of the website’s essential functions. However, analytics, advertising measurement or optional embedded content may not operate.
7. HOW TO CHANGE OR WITHDRAW COOKIE CHOICES
Visitors may change or withdraw their consent at any time by clicking the Privacy Settings icon displayed on the website.
This icon is a permanent or readily accessible control that reopens the cookie preference centre. It allows the visitor to accept, reject or change the status of optional categories and services.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. After consent is withdrawn, the relevant optional technologies will be disabled for future use. Cookies already stored on the device may remain until they expire or are deleted through browser settings.
Visitors may also delete or block cookies using their browser controls. Blocking all cookies through the browser may affect member login, purchases, bookings or other essential website features.
8. CHILDREN UNDER 16
Where a visitor is under 16, consent for non-essential cookies must be given or authorized by a parent or legal guardian.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Wix, Usercentrics, Google and Meta may process cookie-related information outside Andorra, including in the European Union or European Economic Area, Israel, the United States and other locations used by their approved subprocessors.
Where required, international transfers are protected through a recognized adequacy or equivalence decision, approved standard contractual clauses or another legally recognized safeguard. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy:
www.mercefont.com/privacy-policy
10. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND PAYMENT SERVICES
If a visitor follows a link to an external service, such as PayPal, Dropbox, YouTube, Instagram or another third-party website, that provider may set its own cookies under its own policies. Cookies placed after leaving www.mercefont.com are controlled by the relevant third party.
11. RETENTION AND REVIEW
Cookie durations are stated above or shown in the Privacy Settings panel. Session cookies expire at the end of the browser session. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry date or until deleted by the visitor.
In line with current APDA guidance, cookie retention periods should be limited and reviewed periodically. The APDA currently recommends a maximum period of 25 months for information collected through cookies. The known optional cookies listed above do not exceed that recommendation.
We may update this Policy and the cookie inventory when website functionality, providers, cookies or legal requirements change. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.
